So I need a rant. I haven't yet had my scan as only 10 weeks (UK don't do earlier scans) so have tried to be careful about who we tell.

My SO parents don't yet know as we wanted to surprise them at Christmas, nor do the potential aunt and uncles on both sides. My mum has known from the start but kept it to herself.

We decided to tell my father given it was his birthday last week but asked him to keep a lid on it until Christmas.

He decided to share it with my step mother, whom I very much dislike and vice versa, and she's gleefully taken it upon herself to tell everyone can; including my brother and sister who I'd planned to surprise at Christmas.

I'm so annoyed as I know full well she did it out of spite and she knew we wanted to keep it quiet until Christmas.

Now I've got to hope it can stay quiet for another week...highly unlikely given my sister has the world's biggest mouth.

Suspend Facebook until then and hope for the best?
