Question

Has anyone gotten pregnant within 3-4 months after their significant other got Varicocelectomy surgery done? That’s when my doctor is hoping we get pregnant. As there isn’t any infertility issue with me. Just want to know if anyone had gotten pregnant within that range? Let me know thank you!

We skipped the surgery for variccoles. The success rates weren’t great, and our insurance has fertility coverage. We were successful with ivf icsi.

We had 3 miscarriages before my husband had a varicocele embolisation in January 2020, we had three more miscarriages after that (March, May and August) and finally fell pregnant in October 2020 (we are about to celebrate our sons first birthday in two weeks!). We did see huge semenanalysis improvement in concentration, count, motility and morphology but because this was during covid we couldn’t do a post op analysis until 5 months post op. My husband was also on Proxeed fertility supplements during this time too. I’m happy to share more of our story if it’s helpful. Hopefully you have a successful experience! Our count was very high 60-85 million but low morphology only 1%. I ended up pregnant in March after he was on chlomid, proxseed and fertility aid supplements however it ended in a miscarriage. Moving onto ivf icsi in July. good luck to you!
