own gown instead of hospitals
questionnnn does anybody else plan on laboring in their own gown instead of using the hospitals ? i’ve been following this woman on tiktok for a longgggg time who is a midwife and designed her own labor gowns. they seem so much more comfortable and definitely look way better than the hospital gowns. they still have all the functions and accessibility if not more than the hospital gowns. i’m just worried the hospital may not let me ? they’re not really like “modern” or idk the right word but they don’t really offer different labor positions, don’t have great lactation consultant’s, gave me a funny face when i mentioned things like delayed cord clamping and not giving baby a bath right away, as well as me or my husband catching the baby, they probably don’t even have a peanut ball tbh. they also are biggg on inductions and c sections, using forceps and vacuums, all of which i plan on denying but it’s just little things like that so i could definitely see them having a problem with this. i know y’all will probably say to switch hospitals but i don’t have many options near me and my sister delivered her 3 kids here, my brothers gf had her baby here, as well as my cousins and even my mom had all her kids here as well.
