45 and still trying

V

Hi All, I just thought I’d share my story… so I conceived very easy at 40 after three months of trying and has my baby boy at 41. He’s soon to be 4 in June. I just turned 45 and we have been trying on and off for a year. I’ve had a series of set backs due to health issues my gp wanted me to wait. The bosses daughter has a baby so waited a year for that as business couldn’t handle both us not being in it.. anyway that has been the delays for last few years.. anyway my gp sent me to a fertility expert due to my age and not conceiving. The fertility expert wasn’t interested really in my test results and told me I have had my miracle and to really give up due to my age. Said she wouldn’t do ivf due to it being 1% chance and really killed my dreams of having another baby.. I asked for clomid as my gp can’t prescribe.. she told me she would prefer letrozole 2.5 mg. So I have been try to research it to see if it would help and I feel I should give it a go, my gp agrees. My partner is happy with whatever I want. I guess I’m wondering if anyone has had any success with it or not. My amh is bad at 2.8 pmol/l which I think converts to .392 ng/ml.
