Periods while breastfeeding?

My daughter is 3 months on I breastfeeding and do formula because I have a supply just not enough. The dr had told me I might not get a period while I’m breastfeeding and that’s normal. I did have one last month, does that mean I should have one this month or I still could go without having one?

Breastfeeding can cause irregular periods, but when mine restarted after my first, they were instantly regular again.

Depends. Breastfeeding can easily mess up periods with all the hormones. I didn’t get mine back until after I weaned. 
Also since you say your supply isn’t enough. Stop the formula. The more you nurse/pump the more you make. Supply and demand. Formula will hinder the proper milk supply needed to feed baby.

U may have one, or u may not. Breastfeeding can also cause irregular periods. That said, if ur having sex at all (particularly unprotected), then u should test to rule out pregnancy if u miss periods.
