Rude or helpful?

Question

I set up my sons second birthday as a Facebook event instead of sending out paper invitations and a few people asked what to get him and I made a wish list on Amazon, would it be rude to share the wish list on the Facebook page for everyone to see? And say something like “a few people were wondering what to get Jude so I made this wish list if anyone needs ideas” I just don’t know it it’s rude or not like buy my kid gifts ya know 😂 I there are some people I don’t know too well
Coming that’s why I might think it’s rude, what do you guys think?

As long as there are plenty of things that are within reasonable price ranges I don’t see the issue. Just make sure you have lots of low cost items.

People generally expect to buy gifts for a birthday party. As long as you don't say "You must buy my child a gift worth $100 or you are trash!" it should be fine.

I wish every person in my life sent me an Amazon wishlist before their birthday 🤣 It’s so much less stressful to pick from a list of things I know they want instead of guessing.

I'm someone who would see this as really helpful. Also it's not like they are obligated to get what's on the wishlist anyway. Even if someone isn't going to buy from the wishlist, it'll still give them an idea on what your child would like/want. Even though I'm sure mostly everyone will appreciate it and find it useful. 
I had a co-worker type of friend invite me over to her daughter's birthday last year, I had no idea what she liked or what to get her. I begged my friend to tell me what her daughter liked or wanted, but she INSISTED on not saying, and said she really doesn't need anything since she has everything, so whatever you gift her will be appreciated, so I decided to give her $100 in a birthday card and a unicorn slime kit. My friend thanked me and her daughter seemed happy with her gift. 
3 months later it was NY son's birthday she got him 4 shirts (that was closer to fit my husband than my son who turned 11)and a windbreaker that my son liked alot, so he thanked her and told her he loved the jacket etc. She then decides out of no where to tell my son, I'm happy you like it, because when I buy a gift for someone important in my life, I take the time to make it personal unlike other people who just give money to save their selves the headache or put any thought into it. While looking at me! Needless to say i was completely shocked, I just couldn't believe it. The only reason I gave her money was because she told me she doesn't need anything, so I figured she could save the money until she does or save towards something big. Idk. Wow omg I cant believe I typed all this, seems like I needed to vent. I'm so sorry! And Happy early Birthday to Jude🥳🥳

I think it’s great!  Especially if I don’t personally know someone’s child, I never know what to get.  I always feel like there’s a chance I’m wasting money on something they will never use.

A friend of mine just did this with her kid. She made the Facebook event, then someone asked so she put together an Amazon list and shared the link. People appreciated it and found it helpful.

My sister In law makes her kids wish lists for their birthdays & Christmas. She labels it as “stuff I’d like - stuff I need”. I loveeeee it. So helpful!!

We do this for each of our kids birthday parties. We put toy wish lists and also clothing sizes so we aren’t having to answer the same questions over and over

I wish people would do this! When its coming up to birthdays and christmas I beg people for an amazon wish list. It doesnt mean you HAVE to get anything from the list but people can get some inspiration! I think its a great idea, honestly!🤩
