Interstitial cystitis anyone?

Looking for a buddy that has Interstitial Cystitis. Since its so rare I'm doubting I'll get many if any responses but thought I'd ask!

Unfortunately when i was diagnosed i was the youngest person in the US to have the diagnosis. Makes it so tough to have to find drs that will let you try to educate them a bit!. I agree about the fibro! When the drs can't figure out what's causing it they default to that! The diagnosing of IC is so easy and yet so many ppl get marked as recurrent UTIs! It took me over a year to get any diagnosis at all. So frustrating but I've been dealing well until now when I have to come off all the meds!

I read the clinical information and my guess is it is thought to be rare because it often goes undiagnosed. I have all those symptoms down to sometimes peeing often and yet very little at a time I might as well stay on the toilet all day but my diagnosis is fibromyalgia. I swear everything falls into fibro there are so many possible symptoms I can't even tell what is what anymore, like do I have the flu or is it just fibro? I honestly never know lol

The doctors tried to diagnose me with this, but failed to realize that I had a kidney stone..... If you are in that kind of pain all the time with the urge to pee and nothing comes out, all I have to say is I. Am. So. Damn. Sorry. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
