Who would you not tell that you have postpartum depression? Who would you tell? Other than your doctor.

Tell anyone who can ensure your safety. A parent. Best friend. SO. Whoever. Postpartum depression could become something more serious if not treated and if no one knows about it they can't help you and make sure you're safe.

In laws! - don't tell them anything. 
My partner already knows, because he attends my appointment to the psychiatrist. If you have a health visitor I would tell  her/him. They are there to help you. Please don't suffer in silence.

I think it is wise to tell close friends and family - they can offer support and it will also help them to make sense of your behaviour and hopefully be more tolerant. I don't see any reason to keep it secret from those you are close to and think keeping it quiet could be an additional (and unnecessary) pressure.

Probably no one other than my SO. Not my family, friends, coworkers - no one but him. Everyone has shit to deal with - why should I unload my crap on to everyone else I care about? With my SO, I have more trust in him than I do anyone else and we work through things together and that's how I want it.

I think it's important for people to know that it's a thing and if they have it they're not alone. So I would definitely say something about it to anyone if it came up in conversation.
