Just because I see so much stuff on the internet bashing Nickelback I was curious to see how many people actually like them.

If I remember right Nickelback could never decide what genre they wanted to be. So people would like maybe a few songs but hate the rest because they're so different. I don't know how they've kept going so long honestly.
