Where baby will sleep?

Where is everyone planning on having their baby sleep when they bring them home? We have a crib in a room right next to ours but I'm thinking setting up the pack n play in our room will be easier the first few weeks. This may be a stupid question, but if you're using a pack n play, is your baby sleeping in the bassinet part or on the mattress part?

I have a crib set up in our room. Thought it would be easier and I don't want her to be too far

I have an arms reach co sleeper next to our bed and a amby baby hammock in the living room: once she is sleeping thru the night she will go in her crib in her sisters room and we will out her sister in a toddler bed.

We're having her sleep in the pack and play too! It's set up safely in our bedroom. Up until 3 months (or well before they can turn/sit upright) they recommend our little ones sleep in the bassinet part. 👶🏼☺️

We had every intention of having our son sleep in his cradle next to our bed, but he's currently 9days old and that has yet to happen. Hoping once he gets a few weeks older we can transition him from our bed to his. My daughter was so much easier. She wasn't much of a cuddler and had no problem sleeping in her cradle. Every baby certainly is different. (I love ❤ his cuddles though!)

Rock n play, then cradle to get used to sleeping flat, then crib in his room around 3-4 months.

We also have a nursery right next door to our room but we set the pack n play up in our bedroom. I'm planning to have him sleep there at night with us for a few months and possibly day sleep in his crib. The bassinet is just the mattress raised up on the pack n play not the newborn napper. We will put him on mattress in bassinet position in pack n play. Hope that's helpful!
