Depends how much you weigh, if you are 350 pounds versus 100 pounds, it is a cute difference. I want you to focus on four main things. Number one sleep, when you don’t sleep enough your body releases hormones that cause you to binge, crave, retain water, you release cortisol when you are stressed or have anxiety which also causes you to go gain weight, so definitely sleep rest relaxation are all important. Number to your hydration, water is the baseline for everything, and balances are salt and sugar intake which is what causes you to gain weight, it helps to remove waste from your body so that you don’t think I’m constipated you can carry 1-5 pounds of waste in your body daily, it fuels all of your cells, if you don’t think enough water, you retain water, it helps with inflammation, it helps with so many things. It also helps with your sleeping, so you don’t become dehydrated because when you sleep, you can become dehydrated so it’s important the first thing when you wake up in the morning, drink some water. The next thing number three you’re going to focus on is your nutrition, how you fuel your body. Foods that walk on the earth and grow on the earth, less processed foods, you can’t do any diet that goes from 0 to 100, it never lasts, you’ll do anything for a piece of cake, you’re more likely to cheat, you’re more likely to break your diet altogether and go back to eating exactly how you were because you were feeling miserable starving or depriving yourself. It’s not about starving enterprising yourself, it’s about finding a balance, doing things in moderation, changing your brain set. We can talk ourselves out of anything, we our own worst enemy, intrusive thoughts, negative thoughts, insecurities, doubts, you made it. And you have to figure out what diet works best for you. If you are somebody who is epileptic and has epilepsy, who has seizures, or you are somebody who has multiple sclerosis, keto is a good diet for them because it helps with inflammation and the neural transmission in the brain, but if you are somebody who does not have that, it can cause all kinds of problems from cholesterol and blood pressure and problems with your heart, same thing with intermittent fasting, it works for some people and it does not work for others, if you are somebody who is a diabetic or has hypoglycemia or has other issues, that would not be a good diet for you. You have to figure out what works best for you. What works for me personally was high protein, high fiber, low salt, low sugar, natural sugars are fine from some vegetables, and finding alternatives. I eat ice cream every single day, but the ice cream that I eat, for the entire pint is 160 cal it’s a vegan plant-based ice cream that has Monk fruit as a sweetener. It’s not a gallon of Ben & Jerry’s. It’s finding alternatives and substitutes and things like that. It’s about finding a balance like I said if I go to a wedding, I eat the cake I eat the meal and I spend all night dancing at all. The last thing you’re gonna focus on as some kind of movement, exercise, if it’s something fun, if it’s something that you enjoy, if it’s something that you look forward to, there is less chance of you avoiding it or dreading it right. Whether that is walking or dancing or a Zumba class or stripper pole dancing class or swimming or whatever your heart desires. For me personally the gym was never for me, I knew myself that I would find any excuse not to go from costing too much or bad weather or too many people etc. at home the only excuse was me. I lost 95 pounds in 2018 just walking at home in my kitchen with some music on, and eating better. I used a Fitbit, and my fitness pal which I love because it teaches you everything, it tracks everything, your macros, your hydration, your weight obviously, portion control, it teaches you to make better decisions should I have 10 of this or can I have 30 of this, I think I’m gonna go with what gives me more options. I also use my weakness as my strength, I am somebody who is lazy that’s just the nicest way of putting it, I know myself that if I serve myself food and I go upstairs to eat, I’m too lazy to go back downstairs to get more Food whereas taking an entire bag of chips upstairs you’re more likely to finish the whole bag rather than serving yourself a portion. I portion control with Ziploc bags. You also have to remember that weight loss starts with the mind, if you are doubting yourself, if you are having intrusive thoughts, talking bad about yourself, the first thing you’re going to do is get that mean girl out of your mind. I want you to do an exercise for me I want you to take a piece of paper and I want you to draw a line down the middle. Using I am statements I want you to write all the main things that you say about yourself I am ugly, I am stupid, I am worthless, etc. and then on the right side I want you to write the opposite use and I am statement, I am smart, I am beautiful, I am worth it, etc. and then I want you to take each individual positive statement and write it on an individual post it I want you to put them all over the place and when you see them I want you to repeat them with conviction like a daily affirmation. There’s also something called a pattern interrupt, when you hear her in your mind or you think to yourself some thing negative, I want you to say stop it whatever your name is either out loud or in your head, and stop that pattern, stop the hateful conversations in your mind or intrusive thoughts. I don’t set big goals, set 5 pound goals, set weekly goals, take it one day at a time. You have to remember that the size of your pants or the number on the scale does not complete you or defined you as a person, it’s just a unit of measurement. Sometimes the scale doesn’t move, but your body moves and makes adjustments, my biggest weight loss improvement or health gain, was one day I was in the dressing room and I was freaking out because I had dropped four clothing sizes, even though the scale did not move, eventually my body let go of what no longer served me. And the lady came by she’s like are you OK and I said yeah I said I’m just in shock that I lost so many inches and didn’t even realize it. Because the scale wasn’t moving, sometimes you plateau but plateaus don’t mean it’s over, it means your body has got to get used to the new you and it needs time to adjust, and just because you have one bad day doesn’t mean that it’s over, oh I ate a candy bar blew my whole diet no you eat a candy bar because you had a craving, you fulfill that craving now you don’t have to eat the entire box of candy bars, just keep going. You are on your own journey, it is not a race or comparison with anyone else, comparison is judgment judgment of yourself and judgment of others. And not fair to yourself and you also have to remember that we as women we cycle every 30 days where men cycle every 24 hours so a diet for a man is not the same as a diet for a woman. And obviously whether you have a hysterectomy or menopause or anything else, we still cycle as women, we cycle with the moon or we cycle with our own body monthly with your menstrual cycle. Every month you’re gonna have a period of time where you feel more tired, and those days you need to give yourself Grace and space. If you gain weight, you have to ask yourself why did I not empty my bowels, did I not drink enough water than asleep enough, am I overly stressed, rather than punishing or depriving yourself. You need to retrain your brain, your body will let go of what no longer serves it. Learning to love yourself, because as women we carry our stories on our skin, we carry our trauma, we carry abuse, we carry everything that we’ve ever been through and whether that results in emotional eating, but getting to the bottom of it so that you don’t keep repeating the same history over and over again. You let that shit go, otherwise you’re just stealing your own happiness. Love yourself, take it one day at a time, don’t set a timeline that if I don’t reach 20 pounds by September or whatever date it is, that you fail it’s part of the process even if I only lose 5 pounds, 5 pounds is better than zero. Don’t be so hard on yourself. You’ve got this.

Depends on how overweight you are. If you are only 20 lbs over your body's ideal weight, probably not. If you are 100 lbs over and do clean keto as pp suggested, possibly.

I would focus on inches rather than the scale. Do you want to be down a size in clothes? 
20 lbs is doable depending on how much you have to lose. I lost 16 lbs in 6 weeks at 10 mo pp but this brought me to just under prepregnancy weight. I am still overweight too though.
I did IF, read and followed Gin Stephens podcast. I didn’t do any crazy fasting schedules. Mostly 16:8 and tried to push it some days. I was a huge snacker while working a desk job

I’m about 7.5lbs down working out mornings almost a month. I just do a work out video each morning, try and get walks in and such with my kids when we can get out etc. 
Hoping once summer is here and the  pollen clams down (were all allergic to spring basically lol) we can crank up the outdoor activity as well. 
I think it’s 100% reasonable to loose 20lbs by September. If I keep my pace up I’d love to be down 20+lbs by then (42lbs is my over all weight left to hit my big goal).

My hubby lost 27 lbs in 6 weeks doing keto. So it’s possible. He didn’t work out just changed his diet
