When do you break the news?

Hey guys, I recently found out I’m pregnant and I was curious at how many weeks did wait to share the news with parents/basically close ones.

First time around we told immediate family and some friends but ended in a miscarriage so this time we’re keeping it to ourselves until around 8 weeks before telling family and friends and then after 13 weeks to announce it probably. If we make it to that point that is, very nervous this time around after our miscarriage but hopeful 🙏🏽🤍

Public/social media/coworkers - after first trimester, around 13 weeks

Told my husband as his Christmas gift. That was a long 10 days to keep a secret! Then it just so happened valentine's day was at about the right time, so I announced at 14 weeks to close family. After that...let everyone else put two and two together and see what they come up with😎

Siblings around 8 weeks after first ultrasound 
Other close family members around 11/12 weeks

First time around probably 6 weeks/7 weeks. 
Second time around 7 weeks but I ended up miscarrying. 
Third around 12 weeks and we lost him at 17 weeks. 
This time we told around 12 weeks and I’m now 31 weeks. 😊

Waited until I was 12 weeks to tell his family and one close friend then 13 weeks to tell my family and siblings 
I’m about to be 18 weeks and still haven’t told a lot of people.

Parents and siblings we told as soon as we found out which was 4 weeks ish. Close friends we waited until like 8-12 weeks depending on when we saw them, and then announced publicly at 20 weeks.

I was just coming up for 7 weeks with my first. I had an early scan so just told people then. This time around I’ve told close friends and family I’m around 8-9 weeks just now and my scans on Thursday so will be announcing it properly then! X
