UTI Antibiotics?

Hello, I was prescribed nitrofurantoin and I am pregnant. I don’t have any symptoms of a UTI but I guess I have one. That being said, I’m scared of taking this particular antibiotic. The reviews are very poor and apparently the side effects are awful. Has anyone used this?

This is a very safe antibiotic during pregnancy. It targets the bladder which means very little of it messes with the rest of your system. It can cause stomach upset (as can most antibiotics) but chances are it won't especiallyif you take it as directed. I have a very sensitive GI tract but was totally fine with the Macrobid. Only thing it did other than clear my 3 infections was make my urine really yellow :)
