Never thought this would happen to me!
I’m nearly 25 weeks and nothing smells appealing. I can have a craving for something, but as soon as I smell it I want nothing to do with it. My sense of smell is also heightened, so I can even smell cold or room temperature foods sometimes.
And then today my boyfriend is painting the nursery. I went in to let him know something and the smell of the paint was so good! At first it wasn’t like a hunger thing it was just like “oh wow that doesn’t smell terrible” and now as I sit down the hall (he also has windows open and a fan going) I can still smell it a little and now I’m like “I don’t wanna eat it, but I do?”
Lmfaooooo I knew that PICA was more common in pregnancy and that it’s due to a lack of nutrients which would make sense. I eat small meals of mostly fruits and vegetables, sometimes there’s meat but not super often, so I’m sure I’m low on iron.
I’m like 99.999% sure I’m not going to eat it. I do want to inform my boyfriend though just in case I cry about wanting to eat it but knowing I shouldn’t.
Y’all this is the weirdest situation I’ve ever found myself in. 😂😂💀💀
