As my doctor put it, spotting in pregnancy isn't necessarily "normal" but it is common. It can occur for many reasons. As long as its not getting heavier, or you have intense cramping you should be fine. But if you are really concerned definitely contact your OB. I'm pregnant with my 5th @ 20 weeks and I had multiple bouts of spotting. I've never experienced it with my other pregnancies. But little babe is growing fine. I never got answers to my spotting.

Yes!  I mean, I don’t know if it’s “normal,” but I did have it in my last pregnancy from weeks 7-9. It looked a lot like that!  You could definitely let your doctor know though💕 I bet it will all be just fine!  Sending you positive thoughts!!

Spotting is common in early pregnancy and doesn’t necessarily mean anything is wrong. If it becomes heavy like a period contact your Doctor don’t go to ED as unfortunately they can’t do anything to help a pregnancy so early and your best to speak to your treating physician. ED obviously if you’re having symptoms such as fever, nausea/vomiting, headache, blurred vision, abdominal pain (not just little cramps a lot of pain) etc as well as heavy bleeding

I agree with those saying it's common.
The cause can be hard to know as there are many many possibilities as to why you might bleed.
I've had bleeding esrly in both my pregnancies and I have a healthy 3 year-old and a second due in August who's doing just fine so far.
Also, I had round ligament pain from around 9 weeks with my first. Very painful actually!
