My sister and I got into an argument the other day over my dog. Some background here is that I have a 5 year old pug and I’ve taken care of him for those 5 years with absolutely zero help. If I’m not there nobody will bother to take him outside it’s 100% on me- which is absolutely fine I don’t mind! My sister however has two dogs of her own that don’t live with us, they live at my moms and she has all the help in the world when it comes to their care.

-so basically after being home with him all day I wanted to go to my boyfriends house. Around 6pm I put him to bed in the kennel after his dinner and letting him out to the bathroom. I was going to be back early in the morning also. She called me saying she felt bad for him, but then refused to take him out of the kennel saying “he drives me nuts.” So I responded with “If you’re not going to offer me half the help that you get with your dogs, don’t bother to call me. And I don’t need criticism on how to care for my dog from someone who doesn’t need to actually care for their own dogs.” Basically saying that with no help it’s unrealistic to think I’m not going to live my life and go away for a night here and there.
