Talking about baby #2
Having the talk about trying for a second one. Our daughter is 14 months now and I've been wanting another so badly recently. My siblings and are all 5 years apart (actually my youngest sister is 19 years younger than me) and HATED it. I felt like we weren't really close and even now, I don't feel like really know my brother who is 10 years younger than me and about to graduate highschool.
know we should wait until 18 months to try again will be talking to my doctor about that and all of the risks), but either way, don't want to wait another couple of years.
I am a stay at home mom right now because our daughter kept getting sent home from daycare because of covid and we finally decided to just pull the trigger on me staying home. I absolutely love it and this is the best job in the world. That being said, my husband is very money oriented, which isn't a bad thing, but that's all he thinks about when talking about kids. understand that another baby is costly, but it's not like we are living paycheck to paycheck, don't know how to get it through his head that it's not necessarily about the money. I've tried telling him that there's no right time and we are never going to seem like we have enough money, but he definitely doesn't want to hear that.
We had a short conversation a couple weeks ago and he resolutely said he wanted to wait, but it ended with him saying he didn't want to talk about it. do want to talk about it though, I want to know what to expect at the very least.
My thought is that since l'm still home and we are making it work, it would be a good time to try for another since we wouldn't have to pay for daycare for two babies; have no idea how we would afford daycare for two. That makes sense, right?
Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions about how to bring this up and what to say? I'm nervous about talking about it because feel like I'm going to be let down, but feel like should at least try to help him see what's on my mind.
Also, if anyone has some creative ways to make money while caring for a child at home, that would be amazing!
If you got this far, thanks so much for reading and hoping you can help me out❤️
