Nervous and excited to have my baby girl tomorrow

Okay so I'm 38weeks 1 day today I went in today for a growth scan to make sure she is okay and to check my fluid level since I'm carrying a lot from my diabetes. Talked to the doctor and he told me I would be induced either tonight or tomorrow but then a hour after I left the office I got the phone call that I will be having my baby girl tomorrow at 6pm via csection. I'm excited because I get to meet my baby but so nervous about the csection. How painful is it?? And how much are you in after?? I also have stairs in my house to get to my room and the baby's room am I going to be able to do stairs. If any Mommys have advice please share a very excited and nervous first time mommy.
