I’m 32 weeks pregnant and my sister is 11 weeks pregnant. I’m due August 1st, and she’s due January 1st. She’s throwing me a baby shower in a few weeks, and I want to throw her a shower too! But she just announced her pregnancy to me, and I’m worried because I don’t think I’ll have time to plan it after my baby is born. So I want to start planning now… is this an insane thing for me to try and do? I’m like 50% prepared for my due date, we have the essentials (bassinet, bottles, stroller and car seat) but I still want to meal prep for postpartum and set up the nursery.

Has anyone planned a baby shower before who can tell me if I’ll be able to pull this off?

Also I’m not involving her in the plans (aside from the guest list and theme) - she planned mine as a surprise party and I’d intend to do the same for her, so it’s not a stressful thing for her.
