If your MIL or other family member referred to your child, who’s still in your womb, as “my baby” - how would it make you feel?

As long as they don’t try and act like the parent, then I don’t care

My dad calls my kids “son” “my beautiful baby girl” and it’s not weird because they’re really close and he’s not possessive or weird about it. It would annoy me if my in laws did that but they are toxic and we don’t get along, so I think it really depends on your relationship with them as to how you’re going to feel about it

Depends on how they meant it. If they meant it in an ownership way like I refer to my son as my son, then yes I would have an issue 
But if it were as harmless as them being excited and not meaning any form of ownership at all then it's fine 
I used to work as a nurse aide and had a patient I'd talk to about my son all the time while she was there and she's never met him in her life and when I'd come to take care of her she'd ask "how's my baby"

My FIL did this with all my kids and still to this day acts as if he’s their dad. Any time we say one of the kids got something from my fiancé he says “well that’s because he got it from me”. He has even told me he forgets that my fiancé is their dad and not him sometimes. So yeah it would/does and always will piss me off. If you aren’t the father or mother don’t act like it
