Spitting food

My son loves eating, but lately he has decided spitting his purées, like blowing raspberries, is the funniest thing. He is doing it with every single bite now and not actually eating any of it. Why? Is this just a phase and he will eventually go back to eating it? Or are we done with purées forever? I don’t want to keep buying them just to have to clean it off him.

He’s been eating purées since 4 months and then we added in solid food at 6 months in addition to the purées. He doesn’t spit the solids, only the purées, and he’s doing it because he thinks it’s funny, not because he doesn’t like them.
