How do you choose which diaper brand to use?

I am 7 weeks and have seen that alot of people start stocking up early on diapers. How do you choose which brand? I'm a FTM and I can't exactly test it out on a baby before buying. Thanks for help in advance!

Whatever your baby doesn't leak through! Every baby is different. My son would only stay dry in pampers. We'll see how our little girl does in a few months. Just stay away from the trendy junk- organic nonsense. There's absolutely no reason to pay more for that stuff - all that special labeling is just marketing so they can charge more money :-)

Pampers brand is so expensive. I will be a FTM too and I want to start stocking up but I'm tempted by cheaper brands

I have been told by numerous friends that they all started with the expensive one but eventually moved to the store brands.... Walmart and Target brands. We started buying the store brands and keeping receipts. Both Walmart and Target will allow exchanges for unopened diaper boxes.

Just save the receipts or at least write on the box where they came from. Most every store will allow you to exchange brands. I personally use pampers. Huggies leaked for us, and the cheap store brands gave my daughter chemical burns. Pampers also has a yellow line that turns blue when they pee

When I am not using cloth my daughter wears the target brand. She leaks out of every other brand.

I'm a FTM as well and my sister had to pretty much do trial n error my nieces ended up not being able to wear certain brands due to skin sensitivities.

My mom has begun stocking up on huggies. She has actually got them all for almost free. The other day she bought a box of 148 for $2.50...even if the baby doesn't like them we can give them away and practically not lose out.

I use pampers because they have a line that turns blue when they pee and its just easier for me. Ive tried earth's best and parents choice and he seems uncomfortable. Maybe just get a box of each and trial and error? Some babies can get skin irritation from certain brands

I personally buy what ever I can get cheap. My girls both leaked through pampers regularly so I tried to avoid them.
