My cousin named her baby the name I was going to use.

My cousin named her baby the name I had picked for our next. She didn’t know I was planning on using it so she didn’t “steal” it from me. The name is actually both our maiden names so she has just as much right to it as I do. My question is, can I still use it? I’m unsure if I want to, but I would like other opinions. My cousin and I don’t live anywhere near each other and have never been close. The last time I saw her was at a family funeral eight years ago.
