So I'm dating my boyfriend for almost two years now and we get along very well. I couldn't be happier and he is very happy with me too. But he is so shy it hurts me. Here is what's happening :

My birthday is in two days and I'm going to spend time with him. But later, at night I will have dinner with my family. No one has a problem with him there. But he refuses to come. He never comes. Ever. To dinner with my family and it hurts me that not even on my birthday. It Hurts Do I look self centered? I know he is introverted and I have always dealed with it. He never came to a lunch or dinner with my family and I respect him, which I do now. But it just hurts. I always go to family dinners with his family.and not even on my birthday he comes, like the rest of the year
