Father’s Day for new boyfriend?

Should I give my boyfriend something for Father’s Day? We’ve been dating about 3 months. We’ve known each other a little longer. He has a 4 yr old daughter and has shared custody. I’ve met her and have spent quite a bit of time with her too. I’m going out of town for a month starting Friday. I’m going to see him again before I leave but am wondering if I should take him a little something for Father’s Day. Just wondering if I shouldn’t even mess with it or do anything or should I do something to celebrate him?

Thats a bit weird to me to be honest. Hes not your father, you dont have a child with him, and youre not super serious eg this child isnt like your step child so youd doing it on their behalf. I would say nice thought but no.

If you really want to do something nice, just send him a card to wish him a happy father's day. Maybe include a gift card to a movie theater, pizza place or activity they like to do together so he can take his daughter.

When my hubby and I were dating he gave me a mothers days gift. 
We had been dating 6 weeks. I had a 5 year old at the time. I thought it was extra sweet of him.

I would get him something, but I’d make it from his child. I don’t think the amount of time you’ve been dating matters. I wouldn’t get anything extravagant. Maybe just a card and something small to go with it. Or if you’re going to see his child before Father’s Day, make a cute little gift.

I’m still stuck on that you have been together three months and already not only met his child but you have spent lots of time with her already. That just blows my mind. I hope you guys work out or else this child will have most likely formed an attachment to you. Which will prob be truly awful for her if things with you and your bf go south. And sure get him something but it might seem strange so many just like a card.

I would just verbally wish him happy Father’s Day. A gift would be a bit much from a girlfriend of 3 months who isn’t the mother of his child. Father’s Day gifts are supposed to be from his child/children and when the children are too young to do that it’s usually from the children’s mother.

That’s weird, because you just know him for three months and he is not the father of your child. That’s my opinion.
