Would you go?

Our friends invited me and my husband on vacation in another country (we live in the US). We are unsure if we should go even though it sounds like a blast. We have a 4 year old daughter and she would not be coming since she wouldn't have any other kids to play with and we do not have a passport for her yet. If we go she would stay with my in laws who have watched her many times before. We aren't sure if we should go because 1) It's for a week and I just don't know if I can leave my daughter for that long. We have left her with my in laws for about 5 days last year, but we did not go out of the country so we were much closer. This was also very hard on me because I missed her a lot and she also missed us a lot and struggled with separation anxiety at first. 2) She will be starting pre-k only 10 days prior to our vacation so that would mean she would miss a week shortly after starting and I don't want that to effect her socially (like if the other kids bond/create friendships while she's gone and then she may feel left out when she gets back). 3) We would be very far from our daughter with being out of the Country so that worries me.

I don't know if we are overthinking this or not. We don't want to do anything that would negatively impact our daughter, but also want to enjoy life to the fullest.

If you were in this situation, would you go or not? And why?

Update: Thank you everyone for your input/advice! We have decided to go but only for 5 days instead of 7. She will only miss 3 days of school and it's just pre-k so it doesn't matter too much if she misses some time unlike if it was kindergarten or something.
