I love my boyfriend, I really do. But this week he has made me crazy!

I am the director of a small business and we just moved offices which took up a lot of my time. So I’m exhausted at the end of the days.

6 weeks ago he started a WFH job. He used to wake up at 5 to go to work and I didn’t leave the house until 7 so I took care of all the pets in the morning.

Now I get up earlier and have to leave the house and he’s still in bed. The dogs can’t hold their pee, the chickens need let out of the coop so it doesn’t get to hot in there, etc. I’m not going to let them suffer because he’s sleeping. I’ve asked him to get up earlier and sometimes he does and sometimes he doesn’t do I never know how early I need to get up because I don’t know how much I’ll have to do.

This Wednesday I got home from work and was just sitting in my car in tears. I told him I was just so burned out and needed to take Friday off of work to feel better.

Thursday morning, he slept in because he said he was “exhausted”. From what? Idk. But whatever, I just told him how burned out I was and he decided to sleep in and I had to take care of all the animals.

Now comes Friday. He gets up super early and is super loud and wakes me up on the first day I’ve had off of work in months. He didn’t even try to be quite not to wake me. Why was he up early, to go golf. This man could not wake up early enough to help me before work after I was crying that I was so burned out and exhausted but can wake up to golf. At least he could’ve been quite.

Now the real kicker…, his friend from college just moved down near us and has never been to our house. So he just texted me (around noon) his friend is coming over and staying the night in our guest room and will be here at 3. He gets off his work calls at 3. So he will have no time to clean up the house or prep the guest bedroom or grocery shop for food. So guess who’s plate that got left on.

I have not had a day off in months. He didn’t let me sleep in, and now someone is coming to our house. I know it’s easy to say just leave it how it is but I HATE people coming over when it’s not cleaned up. I feel like it makes me look bad. Which I know is ridiculous but I can’t help it.

So now I’m stuck using my one day off cleaning up the house and grocery shopping so he can enjoy having his friend come over. I’m so beyond exhausted.
