Gestational diabetes test at 22 weeks??

I had a scan last week at 21 weeks and all was well- as far as I know. The ultrasound tech said nothing was wrong But today my midwife says I have been referred urgently for the glucose test and I need it asap by the nurse at the scan

I’m not overweight and don’t have any relatives with diabetes. I only medication I take is keppra

Due to computer struggles she can’t see why it’s urgent or why I need it at all for that matter.

Has anyone else had it this early? If so for what reasons.

Midwife is looking into it too when she can.
