Fetal Arrhythmia?

I’m 34+3 and had a scheduled NST this morning. When they were listening to baby’s heartbeat they said it sounded like a small arrhythmia was happening every once in a while. They assured me to not stress and that it is very common, but referred me to Maternal Fetal Medicine. I’m really trying not to worry since the whole reason I was having an NST is because of my high blood pressure, so clearly stress is not good either. 
Has anyone experienced this? They said it could be from the cup of coffee I had this morning so I’m going to skip the coffee before my next NST. 
Also, nobody noticed or mentioned anything at any of my ultrasounds or other NSTs so it just feels weird that this late in the game something is off.

My son had PAC’s as well at his 20 week scan. He had additional monitoring weekly until it eventually stopped showing up. My doctor told me she has patients that babies have PAC’s or arrhythmias even up until they are born and then they go away shortly after birth. Their circulation systems can be different in amniotic fluid than out in air and regulate once out.

my son was diagnosed with PACs (premature atrial contractions) around 34 wks, picked up during a growth ultrasound but not noted on any prior ultrasounds before. they did a fetal echo which was normal and he had additional monitoring (weekly nsts) just to make sure he never went tachycardic and said it would likely resolve after birth. He was born full term and he didn’t have any arrhythmia after birth and his postnatal echo was also normal. He’s a healthy 2 y/o. Hope all goes well for you as well!
