TTC after loss

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, but maybe y'all can help! I have 4 healthy children currently and up until recently I have never had any issues getting pregnant. In May I had my first miscarriage. The pregnancy was a surprise, but ended in loss. After that loss, I didn't start my period again, but ended up getting pregnant again in June. I know it was another positive because I had blood tests until my numbers were 0, and then got a positive blood test again and followed the numbers up to about 30 until I had the second miscarriage. Now, my numbers are 0, and I don't know if we want to try again, but if we do, our doctor says there is no need for concern, extra testing, and we can start whenever we're ready. I'm scared to death to have another miscarriage, especially one that might be prevented with a work up. Should I go to another Dr. Or does this sound normal? Thanks for listening!
