When should I test?

I’m at 12 dpo. I tested yesterday morning and it either was negative or vfl. Today I felt some light cramps and I’m very lightly spotting. My AF is expected in 2 days. Should I wait to test in 3 days or would you test tomorrow morning?

You should test when your period is one day late (3 days). It will give more of an accurate response. Testing early can leave one unsure and full of anxiety. Best to wait and be kind to your mind in the time being while waiting and in turn you will also be kind to your body by remaining anxiety free. I wish you all the best! Side Note: I am pregnant now and did not get a positive result with digital and non-digital, until I was 20 DPO. So just know that as long as you do not get a period, it is still possible to test negative the day after your period was due and test positive up to 7 days later. 
In my case, mostlikely I didn't ovulate when I thought I did, but in general, most women will test a clear positive by 15 DPO or earlier, but a small percentage tend to only show positive at or after 16 DPO (like me with each of my pregnancies). Always best though to wait until your period is one day late, but in the end, this is just my opinion and advice--of course, you will do as you see fit for you.
