Family Planning- What would you do? Try to have the second baby now or wait till you make even more moneh?

We are comfortable financially. We have a 1 year old, and are considering trying for a second this year.

Hubby works in accounting fully remote. I am on a hybrid schedule where I work from home mostly but go in for 1/2 the day 2x a week. I love my schedule and the flexibility I have. He is able to watch our daughter on the days I have to go in.

This work schedule flexibility is why we are considering trying for a second now. But of course we worry that a second baby will add too much financial strain. (Increased health insurance, daycare, food etc)

My hope is to be able to keep our daughter home with us for the time being and send her to daycare once the baby is born. She should be 2 by then.

Or should we just keep applying to jobs and wait until we are making money before we start trying for baby no.2?
