When to see the doctor

When did you ladies first meet with your OB/midwife? I got a positive pregnancy test today! I'm going to call my OB on Friday, but I was wondering when most people go in at first. I have Tricare for insurance. TIA!

Even though they might not want to see you until 8-10 wks it's a good idea to call right away simply to get it scheduled. I just had my first at 9 wks and that appointment had been scheduled for over a month.

Congrats! I tested positive right away so I waited a few weeks before seeing the Doc, because I knew that they were just going to confirm and have me return. My Gyn office said they like to get you scheduled right away for a confirmation or between weeks 6-8. Good luck!

My dr doesn't want to see me til 8wks for the first scan. Trying to hold tight til then. But call yours it might be different

I'm in canada, I saw my gp for a blood  test the week after my positive hpt, but it was just to confirm pregnancy. I don't see her again till oct 15, when I'm around 11 weeks
