Brag post!

Sarah

I'm a 26 year old mother of two, and today I got my driving permit. I've had a deep fear of driving for as long as I can remember. My parents used to get into accidents on purpose, so I've been in more than most people. Luckily most of them were minor, but they were enough to make me very afraid of being behind the wheel. I was also abandoned at 16 and had nobody to teach me how to drive, so I just never learned. Today, I wouldn't say I got over my fear, but I pushed my fear to the side, and I took the test, passed, drove home from the license office, drove to the store, and then drove back home again. And my husband who is teaching me was very patient and said I did a really great job. I'm hoping to practice as much as I can and have my license by the time school starts for my oldest. It isn't much, but for me it was a huge step in the right direction. Hopefully soon I can start feeling like a real adult.
