I had a suspicion around 32 weeks but the midwife at the practice told me it was most likely his butt I was feeling up in my ribs at 2 different appointments, finally at my 38 week appointment I saw a different doctor and he said the same thing but this time I was just like “but how do you all really know that from feeling” so he rolled in the ultrasound and sure enough that was not his butt. So I think I found out much later than most. We tried the ECV to turn him but it didn’t work so I had to have a csection.

My bonus mom likes to have her kids at 34 weeks. Well we found out her recent baby was breech when she went into preterm labor at 32 weeks. They gave her meds to stop contractions (they worked), steroids for his lungs, and strict bedrest orders. She was still pregnant at 37 weeks, they figured the only reason she didn't have him early as well was because he was breech and couldn't engage to start labor. So she went in at 37 wks to try and flip him. She was too far dilated and effaced and actively contracting so doc decided c section right then and there. An hour later my newest brother was born. This was July 1st. He was actually an oz bigger than my son. 6 lbs 15 oz. He came out butt first and swallowed some fluid. Ended up in the NICU for a few days but they were able to go home July 4th. He had an appointment yesterday and he's perfectly perfect ♥️

My OB mentioned my daughter being breech at 20 weeks and said it’s usually not an issue until 32-36 weeks. 
I’m 28 and 3 and as far as I know she’s still breech.

They usually start feeling on your belly to figure out babies position when you're in the 3rd trimester. Maybe the last month or so.
