What to pack for hospital bag?

Should I pack my maternity clothes or regular clothes for the hospital bag? I had my son 2 years ago and I can’t remember if I was able to fit into my regular clothes after delivery. I am having a c section.

For me I will be packing loose clothes that are warm, toiletries such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush and toothpaste, hair brush, Warm clothes for my son, Huggies diapers since if he is anything like my daughter he won’t be able to wear pamper diapers, wipes, heating pads so I can try to go as long as possible without getting the epidural, long phone chargers, maybe some cards or books to read. 
My husband will have the snacks and his clothes in his bag. He may also bring his laptop. Just to give him something to do when I don’t need him.

It you are having a c section, definitely something loose. I wore my loose leggings and a nursing tank with a zip up sweater if needed. My babe was born in the winter though, if it was summer i would have worn a dress.

I would definitely go with maternity wear and my number one thing especially to my c-section mommies are disposable women's underwear. They are so much more comfortable and supportive than the pads and "panties" they give you. Especially on that c-section scar. Hair brush for sure ( I forgot mine and they do not supply you with those), outfit for baby to go home in and get pictures (majority of the time they will be swaddled), and anything you may want for at least 4 days. I think with more c-section that's the norm on a hospital stay. If your husband is staying he may want a bag too. Congratulations and best wishes! 😊

I had maternity tops and sweatpants. I wore sweatpants/yoga pants/comfy shorts my whole pregnancy so was my usual bottoms I wore while I was pregnant/not pregnant 
But i actually lived in the hospital robes while I was there. Way easier when I was learning how to breastfeed to just have something open

I continued to wear my maternity pants until about 6w pp.

I am most definitely going for something loose and not too tight and I plan on a vaginal birth again 😅
