Telling mom about being pregnant before husband wants? Haha

Has anyone told their mom or parents about being pregnant before husband was really wanting to? My mom and I are super close and I always tell her everything. I want to tell her so bad but my husband wants to wait until I’m 10 weeks which there’s no way 😅😂  I know she’d keep it a secret if I told her 😂 is that awful?? Also it’s my third baby…. So it’s not like it’d be the first time of us telling her together if that makes sense

Unpopular opinion probably, but I’d tell my mom 😂 I wouldn’t lie to my husband about it though, but I’ve lost 6 pregnancies and I was glad I told her before rather than during/after the miscarriage. I always tell her right after my husband Lolol

I would put yourself in his shoes.. how would you feel if he shared the news when you weren’t ready? If you really want to share with your mom, then talk to him and tell him that.

Thanks for the inputs everyone!! Very helpful for me!! I talked to him about it and told him why I want to tell her. It’s exciting, I need her to watch my other kids for when I have appointments, if anything bad happens I want her support, etc. He was wanting to wait just because he doesn’t want her to tell anyone else. He said we can go ahead and tell her! I told her this afternoon and he made her promise not to spill the beans! 😂

I would tell my mom and I wouldn't hide it from my husband that I told her. Both my parents know from day 1 and my sister in law. My husband is waiting to tell his parents and people in general at the 12 week mark, so I and his sister are keeping it hush from them.
It's both your baby and both should be understanding of the other's feelings. Telling a person here and there who will keep it hush hush is completely different than telling the entire world. Hopefully he'll come around if you talk to him how important it is to you

Their is no logical reason to wait to tell anyone. The whole wait to tell people thing was so jic you had a miscarriage no one else would feel uncomfortable. Which is complete bull IMHO. If I had a miscarriage I wouldn’t suffer silently. I would call my mama! So I see no reason to hide an early pregnancy.

Why doesnt he want her knowing? Is it because he knows shes gonna tell people? Or whats his reasoning behind not wanting to tell her yet

I always viewed it as it’s MY pregnancy, but OUR baby. I run the show on my body and my personal medical information during my pregnancy. It’s up to me when we share or don’t share. If you want to tell her, I’d let him know that you are going to tell her and explain why.
