Anyone been induced and not had epidural?

I’m especially interested in those who had an unmedicated birth prior to induction. My last birth was unmedicated but I’m being induced this time and I’m not sure what to expect!

It sounds like I was in the same boat as you. My second came naturally at 39 weeks and quickly. I didn’t get an epidural because he was born about 45 minutes after we got to the hospital. I just had my third a month ago. I waited and waited for him to come naturally and he was not having it. I scheduled an induction at 41 weeks and was so discouraged that I wouldn’t be able to have another unmedicated birth. We got to the hospital at 7:00 and 3 hours later he was born with no epidural. It was an amazing labor and delivery. I remember reading so many horror stories about inductions but you can 100% do it. Not every induction is bad!!

My first baby was natural no medication. 
Second I was induced also no medication. 
Third I got the epidural at 8 cm. It made the remaining three hours a breeze and I slept through them.  It also made the after birth cramps bearable. 
If I have to be induced again I will likely do the same as my third labor. Wait as long as possible and get it. It is doable without one but after 24 hours I was tapped out. If not induction which I’m praying for I will likely do no medication again.

With my first I was induced and waited as long as I could to get an epidural. As soon as my water broke I felt like I was dying with every contracting. I was almost passing out from the pain and got an epidural so I was able to focus and push when the time came. 
With my second I was also induced. I requested an epidural as soon as my water broke and was able to avoid the horrible pain for a few hours. They rolled me to my side and I guess my epidural slipped because my pain went from a 3 to a 10+++ within maybe 5 minutes. Thankful baby was ready and came out within 10 minutes of the most horrendous pain I could imagine. She did get stalled with just her head out because I was so out of it with the pain that I couldn't process what they were saying and didn't know I needed to push still. I had a bit of a ptsd flashback episode a few days after that scared the crap out of me, my husband, and my firstborn.
I don't plan to have any more babies, but if I do, I will absolutely get an epidural again if induced and guard that tube with my life, lol!!!

I've only had 1 baby, but I was induced and no pain meds/epidural. I had a super fast labor so by the time the pain got unbearable it was over. I wish I would have learned lamaze or hypnobirth or something because there were times I hyperventilated and didn't know how to breathe through the bad contractions so all I did was scream. Once I got to the pushing stage the pain got so much easier and pushing gave me so much relief. Hoping my next 1 can come without an induction!

It was my first birth recently, 10weeks ago and had a beautiful baby girl 🥰 I only had epidural as my contractions were 30seconds apart and I was only 5cm dilated so had a longggggg way to go and couldn’t stand that pain for many more hours. Epidural worked within 30mins and I didn’t feel anything for a while afterwards, then towards the end when I was fully dilated pain come back so my husband clicked the button to release more medicine every 20mins and pain went away again and I didn’t feel anything at all giving birth, even with having a 2nd degree tear and getting stitched up. Was a long 25hour induced labour though, but I would do it the same all over again 💕💕

With my first I wasn't induced. Water broke on its own and contractions were painful but not to the point I felt like i was dying. 
With my last three, I was induced. Contractions were 10x worse. There were never breaks in-between contractions and my asshole (excuse my language) felt like it was being torn to shreds and my back was breaking. Needless to say I got the epidural. 
But, not everyone is like that. When you get induced contractions are a bit worse for some and not others. So, I would sign for it but not get it unless you can't take the pain any longer. That's what I did.

If your induction is pitocin, just know that drug is terrible. It is the most painful experience

I have been induced 3 times with Pitocin I went epidural with the first two and no epidural with my 3rd just recently. I did Hitt workouts up until 37 weeks and was induced at 39 weeks. After I received my Pitocin with this delivery I walked the halls for 30 minute intervals, bounced on the ball, and did side laying positions. Anything to engage the baby. It worked and was by far my fastest and easiest delivery. The contractions were very intense as she engaged but overall I found the movement helped make them very tolerable and I would do it the same way again.

I’ve only ever been induced. I got an epidural when I was dilated to 7 
I’ve heard contractions are worse being induced than natural and I can’t say I know that of course, but I definitely believe it now
I still felt what was happening with the epidural too, it was low amount of it when I was pushing. It was higher before I was at a 10. Definitely helped me get a couple hours of needed sleep before the process, but when it was lower I almost feel like I felt everything happening, but I knew that wasn’t the case! When I got stitched after I didn’t feel a thing so I knew the epidural had to be working, labor was just so painful I felt as if I fully felt it all through the medication at the time, but some pain def had to be blocked with the epidural 
My body was not ready for labor. I was pushing for 8.5 hours so it was not a smooth labor. And that was just the pushing time, I was in labor way longer than that.
I would never NOT get an epidural, but I especially wouldn’t if I was being induced. Mainly bc of how long it took me to get baby out, and I was still in tons of pain with the epidural.
If it was a quick labor, like just an hour or two of pushing I could handle the shorter amount of pain better. I’d be more inclined if I knew it would be quick, but after my experience I don’t think I could have done it being induced without the epidural, being in even more pain. I literally felt my body shutting down and I was passing out between each push the last couple hours. I had a couple more pushes then they were gonna do an emergency c section. So thankful everything turned out ok!
So just bc I couldn’t guarantee how long the pushing would be and how the body would do getting induced, I wouldn’t without an epidural getting induced. I know there isn’t a guarantee how long pushing will last if you went into labor naturally too, but I feel like in my case my body would have been more ready then and it just wasn’t for sure here. Im sure it would have gone way more smoothly. But that’s just me, and I don’t have a desire to go natural anyway, but just thought I’d let you know my thoughts on it after my experience getting induced!
