Swimming and eczema

So we recently got a membership at the YMCA and I really want to get in the pool because I love the water. However, I have been struggling with a bad eczema outbreak since December. I went to the dermatologist after about 2 tubes of steroid creams. I’m on my third tube with oral steroids and it is finally clearing up. I changed my detergent because even though it was Free and Clear, I read that All changed their ingredients around the same time as my outbreak began. My question is can I get in the pool or will it just make things worse? I have gone through several different studies and one always contradicts the other. Anyone have any experiences or input?
