Toddler sad after weaning 8m ago

Has anyone ever experienced this? My toddler usually wakes up crying every day, morning and nap. She used to nurse constantly up until she was about 2.25, but we weaned about 8m ago when I was very pregnant. She told me she was sad about mama milk and wanted boobies in the mornings. I have a 5m old now, so I’m not opposed or anything. I told her we could do that if she wanted. She just kept telling me she was sad about mama milk and she was teary eyed when I asked about it, but when I offered she didn’t want any. Has anyone else ever experienced this? I’m so sad for her! I do hug and cuddle her often of course, I’m a SAHM so it’s what I do all day.
