Because you ovulated later than predicted or not at all. If period is late with negative pregnancy tests it’s from late ovulation or no ovulation. The later you ovulate the later your cycle will be. No ovulation, no period.

I've gotten negatives for 2 weeks after missing a period and I was pregnant. Sometimes it takes a while got the hormones to build enough to be detected. Keep testing if you don't get your period.
