Anyone else not posting about their pregnancy? I got rid of my socials in April and it’s been nice not having them. Did anyone else do the same? Are you going to steer away from posting when the baby is born?

Im on social media but no announcement, probably will post the birth. I’ve had too many friends who have struggled and while I want to celebrate my baby, I want a happy medium where I respect their struggles too. The people in my life know, it doesn’t need to be broadcast.

With my first daughter I never posted I was pregnant or when she was born and the only picture I have was her and dads hands a year later. This pregnancy I plan the same. It is so peaceful to me

I did announcement but that was it. I just contact family to let them know what’s going on and it’s been really nice and relaxing this time around. 
We will probably post pictures of the baby shower and do a birth announcement idk yet

Only people that know are the people I work with, family and those I run into in person since my belly is an outtie and round. No social media acknowledgement across any of my pages.

I ment to hit yes sorry. But honestly we haven't posted on any social media this app is the closest I have to a social media outlet that knows I'm pregnant. My husband and I don't see the point in posting on social media the people who speak to us regularly know it less then 10 people and we are ok with that. It's alot less stressful then our first time around when we did announce it. No unsolicited advice no shame on you for doing this or that or for not doing this or that while pregnant.

With my first pregnancy in 2020 I didn’t post a single thing about being pregnant or announced the birth of our baby. This time around, I’m doing the same. We told a few close family and friends at 20-weeks, but haven’t told all of our family and friends either. I don’t plan on announcing the arrival of our second child either and hardly use social media anyways. I also don’t post any pictures of our current toddler, I personally feel it isn’t fair to them to have their pictures up on social sites without their consent. I feel that way because the internet is forever. I couldn’t imagine there being pictures of me as a baby / toddler / child all through the internet. People take screenshots and there’s some serious creepers out there. I also don’t judge those who post their child everyday on the internet, to each their own. I do text some family & friends pictures though. But, at the end of the day, we have to do what’s best for our family and what we are comfortable with.

I got rid of mine last year in August. I am not sure I will announce his birth. It would be the easiest since I have so much family. My issue is that I don't want to start using social media again. Maybe I'll just make one of those picture announcements and send it to everyone.  Not sure yet.

We live in a different country than both of our families and most of our friends, so social media is the easiest way to keep in touch with everyone.
We use a special app for pictures of our daughter though (Tinybeans) so we don’t post those on things like FB and Insta.

We're not making any social media announcements either. Although we were blessed with our now 13 years old son in 2009, we lost our first pregnancy in 2003 in fetal demise in utero at almost 37 weeks. So we chose to keep this new little blessing private amongst close personal friends and family. 💙 ✨✨ Wishing everyone blessings and baby dust✨✨✨
