Contractions

Edit: came into labour and delivery. I am admitted. Epidural is in and sitting at 6cm wahoo!! Babies should be here soon 💖💖

Okay I know people say you’ll know when it happens but for me with my first I had all back labour so basically my back just killed the whole time and I felt nothing on my abdomen. My water broke so it was pretty clear cut. This time around I’ve been trying to ask different people what contractions feel like and I do tend to get different answers but still the “you’ll know” comment. I’ve never had period cramps to know that feeling so that doesn’t help me either.

For the last hour or so I’ve been having several “contractions” I think. My back is just permanently sore with lots of pain and then the pain kind of wraps around the front of my abdomen and I feel like I need to be hunched over cause being straight making it worse. I can also feel some movement down below like the babies are trying to get more into position but could be just them moving. My stomach is also rock hard with minimal relief. It seems that the pain around the front lasts about a minute and then it’s just the back pain on its own. Does that sound like contractions?

I should add I’m having mono/di twins. Both were head down on Friday and I was 3cm dilated then.
