Do pregnancy test pick up on an LH surge?

I accidentally grabbed a pregnancy test instead of an ovulation strip and it came out looking faintly positive.  Just think it’s interesting and was wondering if that’s a thing.  This happen to anyone else?

I did it at the beginning of this month it’s crazy how the ovulation test was more positive than the pregnancy test. Turns out I was about 4 weeks pregnant. I finally took a actual pregnancy test when I was 5 weeks it was still faint. I’m currently 8 weeks pregnant today and I have a very strong positive.

I hated those tests. They always had false positives for me.

No. HCG cannot and do not detect LH. HCG tests can however be made to look positive by being placed next to LH strips - they can turn them positive incorrectly
