Thoughts on a 5 year age gap?

Due to life circumstances, my husband and I will have a much bigger gap between kids than we had hoped for. For those with a 5 year age gap, how is it?

Me and my siblings are all at least 5 years apart. My brother and I are 5 years and have always been very close! I love it and wouldn't change anything

I think it’s a great age gap. My daughters have four years between them, but my sisters and I have five years. I thought it was nice because we didn’t ever go to school together or do sports together (specifically high school) so this allowed us to have our own friend groups but still be close where we were affectionate and rarely fought. My best friend and her sister were two years apart and constantly fought due to competing with similar friend crowds, sports and classes.

Me and my sister have a 4 year age gap. When she was going through her teenage years, was when the age gap was most evident. She wanted to hang out with her friends more and I couldn't go with her to places, but we always remained close. Now in our 20s we are literally best friends. I know people that have an 8 year age gap that are extremely close as well. I just feel like it's how your raised and passing 20 years old age.

Me and my sister have a 6 year age gap and me and my brother have 16 years gap 🤣 don't ya just love surprise pregnancies!? 
Honestly it's fine. I got into marvel so I'd have a definite talk point when he's ready to be able to watch the films and I basically don't use my real name anymore because a nickname he uses for me has replaced it but idc! We bonded easily and he knows he can come to me for anything. My sister and I are a little more distant but that's honestly more on my sister than our age gap I don't think she could ever get past seeing me as "dorky little sister who embarrassed her in front of edgy teen friends" 🤷‍♀️

I was 13 when my mom had my 1st brother lol I love them so so much. My brothers are 2, 5, and 7 lol I’m 21.

To me that’s perfect! I had my second 5 years after my first . My daughter was so helpful loving . Not to say she didn’t get her jealous moments but it wasn’t even as difficult if I was dealing with a toddler instead .

Love it. 5.5 years and almost 7 month old and my oldest loves to help in anyway and can understand if we have to do something for the baby and it works well for us

Sont have that age gap, but I've seen several where it works perfectly. Your oldest will be a lot more independent and way better at understanding what it means when there is a new baby.

My kids are 9 years apart. I love it for the fact I wasn’t running around after a toddler and a newborn. I don’t have to worry about what my now 11 year old is up to as he’s independent more or less. They have a good relationship for now but at a guess as he ages she will become more annoying 😂
