Cleft babies?

I’m pregnant with my third (June baby was #1) and found out in my anatomy scan yesterday that he has a cleft lip, possibly palate as well. Any moms go through this? I’m having such a hard time. I joined a support group for moms on Facebook and it was actually worse :(

My cousin (a lot younger than me) had a cleft palate and very mild cleft lip when she was born. She had surgery done on both when she was very young with no issues afterwards. Tbh, she’s 16? now and I totally forgot that she had it but this jogged my memory. She has a light scar above her lip but it healed very well. Surgical procedures have come so far it’s beyond amazing what they can do nowadays. I hope you can find some sort of support that can give you solace- I know how hard the waiting & unknown can be while pregnant ❤️. Sending you love!

Awe sorry to hear this. I don’t have experience in it but try to do your own research and talk to your doctors to get as much info as you can. Hopefully help you feel better…
