Did anyone get pregnant while breastfeeding?

I know your period & ovulation is delayed while your breastfeeding. My SO just had a baby in July. Took us a while to get pregnant with this baby. We want more but I want to wait a bit. I am exclusively breastfeeding &we did it wonder how much of a chance I have in getting pregnant again.

Yes, I got pregnant while breastfeeding twice now. We weren’t preventing, but weren’t trying either. Both times it was right around a year postpartum.

Breastfeeding is NOT birth control. Your cycle and ovulation is not guaranteed to be delayed. When a woman ovulated again while breastfeeding is completely random. For example, had I been under the impression that breastfeeding delayed ovulation I would have been pregnant again at 2 months pp after my youngest since that's when I ovulated again.

I did. I was exclusively breastfeeding my 5 month old and got pregnant.

You can start ovulating at any time while breastfeeding, but some people don’t start ovulating again until they stop breastfeeding. There’s no way to know how it will happen for you. 
I got my period at 8m pp while breastfeeding and got pregnant at 12m pp. I’m 30w now, still breastfeeding my 19mo.

I got pregnant 8 months postpartum. I was exclusively breastfeeding, I had no signs of a period/spotting. I ovulated though!
