Buggy Board or Double Buggy?

My son will be 2 years and 1 month when baby 2 arrives. He’s a very steady and competent walker but is obviously still young and gets tired/wanders off. I thought I would probably use a sling/carrier for the newborn and buggy for at least the first month or so but a few people have said to bite the bullet and get a double buggy. What are your thoughts?

My daughter was 22 months when my third baby came along. I bought a buggy board at first but hated it! Can't really go up and down pavements with it, stairs are an absolute no go. Even ramps are difficult. I kept kicking it when walking and.its just a pain in the bum. 
I went and bought a double buggy when the youngest was 6 weeks old and loved it!! We used it for a year and then sold it on to someone else for cheap.

My daughter will be 21mo when her baby sister is born. We have a single to double. We don’t have a car so we walk everywhere and I can’t imagine not having a double. Even when my nephews came to visit, the 4yo wanted to sit in the stroller often so I imagine we’ll get a lot of use out of the double setup

I’ve been trying to work out the same thing. My girl will be 21 months when baby arrives. But I don’t want to have to buy a double buggy when I have an amazing single one, and we won’t use a double for that long. Thinking I might just use the front pack for the first bit and then get a buggy board. It’ll be summer when baby arrives so won’t need them to be rugged up.
