I’m not necessarily planning on it, but leaving the option open.

I have scoliosis and Arthritis in my spine (and have a really high pain tolerance) so I’m not getting it but my sister got it with both of her boys and she said it was helpful to tolerate the pain.

I had one. Slept through 10 hours of my labor 🙌 I had a 9lb baby with 4th degree tearing😣. Didn’t feel the tearing but getting stitched back up was still a little uncomfortable. I can’t even imagine how horrible it would have been if I hadn’t had one.

Definitely getting it again. My first gave me 3rd degree tearing & I didn’t feel anything.

Delivered 2 babies without it . Not getting it with this pregnancy

Best advice I ever heard in labor was: when you get to the most pain you can tolerate ask for the epidural. I ENJOYED my labor experience thanks to the magical epidural. It was wonderful. I took a nap while contracting and dilating, got a catheter so I didn’t have to get up to go pee anymore (the pee tube, it is a convenience and a half). I went from being in so much pain I would forget to breathe to almost instantly after having the epidural inserted, relaxing and napping.
