Is he expecting for me to pay?

I don’t know where to post this but a while back I met a guy at the gym. He came up to me to correct my form one day.

From there we established a gym friendship. We just talk when we are at the gym and that’s it. Nothing outside of that. Rarely he works out with me.

The other day I mentioned how I want to grow my butt and legs but I feel like I reached a plateau

He offered to give me a routine and we can train 2-3 times a week.

So the reason why he said he had my money was because I got him something from my moms store and he owed me 20 bucks.

Below is my convo. Idk if he may be expecting money cause he’s going out of his way to train me 😢😢 I feel bad cause I don’t have the money. Should I ask if he’s charging?? I’ve known him for 5 months now.
